The Northwich & District Heritage Society's latest
initiative has been the organisation of a display of local Primary School art work.
The schools were invited to submit paintings based on the theme of local heritage
and history.

The response was very good and the paintings have been displayed so far at the Lion
Salt Works, Marston as part of the National "Big Draw" celebration and at the Vale Royal
Council Offices in Winsford. The Society is indebted to Vale Royal for help and support
in this venture.
Jack Cunningham age 10 Wincham Community Primary School
It is hoped that the works will be put on display at other centres in the near future.
Thanks are also due to the heads of the participating school, the children's teachers
and, of course, the pupils themselves whose ages range from 4 to 10 years. Their direct
responses to our rich local heritage are truly delightful.
